Talisman was a Swedish-American hard rock band formed in Stockholm in 1989 by the late bassist and primary songwriter . After stints with Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force and John Norum, Jacob found himself with a collection of songs and record label interest but no band. He then contacted his former colleague, American vocalist Jeff Scott Soto , known for his powerful and soulful delivery. The connection was instant, and the band, originally conceived as Jacob's solo project, was born.
Marco found the first Talisman in a heap of discarded CDs behind a shuttered record store. It wasn’t gold or silver—just a burned disc in a clear jewel case, labeled in faded marker: TALISMAN – DEMO 1990 . The music wasn’t perfect. Raw synths, distorted vocals, loops that stumbled into silence. But something about it felt… charged. Like a whisper meant only for him.
Repacks ensure that every album—from the 1990 debut to the 2006 finale—is encoded at uniform high bitrates (such as FLAC or 320kbps MP3) with normalized volume levels.
